Saxophobia presents a rich and riveting history of the saxophone and the players who gave the sax its many voices. Audience members will see and hear a sopranino—the smallest saxophone in the world; a mammoth six-and-one-half-foot contrabass sax; and virtually everything in between. The show also focuses on legendary artists and the songs they popularized, such as Boots Randolph honking out “Yakety Sax,” Charlie Parker carving out innovative Bebop melodies such as “Scrapple from the Apple” and Stan Getz’s sensuous version of “Girl from Ipanema
